Brady Boyd

Pastor Brady is passionate about Global Ministries and travels frequently to countries around the globe to train leaders, plant churches, and build partnerships with related ministries. In the past few years, Pastor Brady has traveled throughout Kenya, Guatemala, Ukraine, Hungary, and Israel on various trips. He desires for everyone at New Life to have a passion for the nations and encourages everyone to get involved through prayer, taking a trip, or supporting those who are missionaries.

Riaan Heyns
Global Ministries Pastor

Riaan serves as the Global Ministries pastor at New Life Church. He has extensive global ministry experience obtained through service to local churches and YWAM (Youth With A Mission). He most recently served on the staff of YWAM NSI, located in the world prayer center, as a communicator and consultant regarding dynamics of global church growth, strategic missions implementation, and local church missions-development. Riaan served Valley Creek Church in Flower Mound, TX as the pastor of Adult Ministries, which included small group and mission ministries. He has also served as the Associate Pastor of Global and Small Group Ministries at Hillcrest Church, Dallas TX.

Riaan has traveled extensively leading teams and loves teaching on Islam, global church growth, and the biblical missions mandate to the church. It is his desire to see every generation mobilized into God's call to the nations. He is convinced that missions exists because worship does not and has dedicated his life to see the nations, on every shore, worship the one true God. Riaan's priorities in ministry include the following:

  • the development of a theologically sound and strategically relevant missions philosophy.
  • the education and mobilization of each individual in our church to be a part of the going, sending, or praying roles in missions.
  • utilizing the unique gifts of individuals in our body to extend God's kingdom through the global ministries of New Life Church.

Riaan is a native South African with completed studies in Theology, Business, and Engineering. He loves living in Colorado Springs and enjoys photography, playing tennis, golf, and fishing.

Answers to Prayer

The strength of Christianity in the Pacific. The Pacific was one of the first areas to be evangelized in the modern Protestant missionary era. By the end of the 19th Century, most of the Pacific region had become Christian through the sacrificial labours of early LMS, Methodist, Anglican and Pacific Islander missionaries. Missionary casualties were high through disease, violent death and cannibalism, but great people movements brought whole peoples and islands to Christianity.

Renewal of the Pacific Islands vision for mission and prayer. The South Pacific Prayer Assembly and Deep Sea Canoe Movement are recapturing this great 19th Century heritage. In recent years, New Zealand has had a good record in sending out missionaries. Other nations such as Fiji and PNG are seeing more significant sending movements occur.
